Filling ImmiAccount, SkillSelect and other portals with eLodge
4 min read
The LodgeHQ eLodge extension for Google Chrome fills government portal forms with your client's answers from LodgeHQ, so you don't copy and paste them. It works on:
- ImmiAccount (
online.immi.gov.au): Visa and citizenship applications. - SkillSelect (
skillselect.gov.au): Expressions of Interest for 189, 190 and 491. - VETASSESS (
skillassess.vetassess.com.au): Skills assessment applications. - AFP National Police Check (
afpnationalpolicechecks.converga.com.au): The police check application.
1. Install from the Chrome Web Store
Open the LodgeHQ eLodge listing on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome → Add extension. Done in five seconds. Chrome keeps it auto-updated from then on.
2. Pin the icon
Click the jigsaw puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, then pin the LodgeHQ extension so it's always visible.
3. Stay signed in to LodgeHQ
eLodge uses your LodgeHQ sign-in in the same Chrome browser, so there is no separate password. If the side panel says Sign in to LodgeHQ to continue, sign in to LodgeHQ in a Chrome tab and open the panel again. You sign in to each government portal yourself; LodgeHQ never sees your portal logins.
4. Fill a form, page by page
- Sign in to the portal as you normally would, then open the application, EOI or form (or start a new one).
- Click the LodgeHQ icon to open the side panel.
- Click Fetch Clients and select the client's matter.
- Click Fill Current Page. eLodge fills the matching fields on the page you're on and tells you in the panel about anything it couldn't fill.
- Check the page, move on with the portal's own Next or Save, and click Fill Current Page again on each new page.
5. SkillSelect EOIs (189, 190 and 491)
The answers come from the client's Skilled Migration (189/190/491) — SkillSelect EOI & Points questionnaire (or GSM + Skills Assessment on a combined matter). Its SkillSelect EOI & Points section holds the points claims.
- If eLodge asks you to confirm Yes, this is [client]'s EOI — fill it, check that the EOI belongs to that client, then confirm.
- Education and Employment: each record has its own entry page. Click SkillSelect's Add, then Fill Current Page, then Save, once for each record.
- For a 491, record the stream first: on the matter's Compliance tab, under EOI / ROI Lodgements, click Add EOI / ROI lodgement and choose the 491 Visa Subclass (State/Territory nominated or Family sponsored).
- A matter whose visa type is just 189, 190 or 491 (common on imported matters) shows a prompt on its Questionnaires tab. Click Switch to Skilled Migration (189/190/491) — SkillSelect EOI & Points before you fill that client's EOI.
6. Review, then move on yourself
eLodge never clicks Next to leave a page, never submits and never pays, so you review every page before you advance. On VETASSESS and the AFP police check it only fills empty fields: it never accepts terms or a declaration, never uploads a file and never clicks Save, Next or Submit. On SkillSelect, eLodge 1.8.28 or later also ticks the EOI's standard declarations (the terms box on a new EOI and statements such as “I have read”, “I declare” and “I understand”) and lists each one in the panel; it never answers a question that way, never ticks a consent or anything optional, and never signs, uploads or pays. On ImmiAccount it does more: it adds the rows of multi-record sections such as address and travel history, and it answers the biometrics consents and final declarations Yes. Read every declaration and consent page yourself before you advance.
